I had the pleasure of meeting the great Daniel Lanois at a video shoot I did recently for D’Addario’s “Guitar Power” YouTube series.
Daniel is an 11-time Grammy winner as a producer and composer for some of the most beloved and influential Rock albums ever made, including Peter Gabriel’s “So”, U2’s “The Joshua Tree”, The Neville Brothers’ “Yellow Moon”, Emmylou Harris’ “Wrecking Ball” and Bob Dylan’s “Time Out Of Mind” among many others.
He is a first-rate guitarist and has a unique approach and sound to playing the pedal steel, creating beautiful tonescapes and moods with volume swells, delays and dynamic phrasing.
